We are in the midst of reading and watching little house on the prairie. Seeing that we live in Prairie country we took a trip down to Independence Kansas to see one of the Ingall's homesteads. It is very interesting to learn about life in the Frontier times. Life was so different then but in many ways very similar, the trials and tribulations of life don't change just because we have cell phone and modern conveniences.
My friend Rebecca and I always take a portrait together when we see each other. It started 14 years ago, as the years have passed we have added our children into the portrait. One day this will be a wonderful book.
We drove to Dallas this weekend, not a bad drive from Kansas City. Stopped in Oklahoma City and viewed the Memorial there, a rather somber experience but very well done. Nikita had her first history lesson in the evil of humans.
Shot a wedding this weekend which was rather enjoyable. I do not shoot very many weddings but found this one to be very fun. Probably because the couple and family were so great and unconventional. If all weddings were like this one I would shoot many more.
Just got back from a few weeks in Zurich and Vienna. How great it is to be in Europe, though I must admit I miss the conveniences of America. Wish there was a place that combined both cultures. Looking forward to going home to planning the next trip to Europe.
Best friends. nothing like a hug from your friend. they are always there for you the joy of being a princess all day, why does it not last until adulthood?
